Jadzia Dax joined Characters
Terry Farrell played as Jadzia Dax in the first six season of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine TV series. Jadzia is a fictional main character who serves as DS9’s station chief science officer. SHe is a close friend of Benjamin Sisko and the Bajoran Kira Nerys. She became the wife of Worf who belonged in the Klingon species.
Jadzia appears to be a young woman of the human species but she is a joined Trill. She lives in symbiosis with Dax, therefore she is the host. Dax is a wise and long-lived creature and he is the symbiont. Jadzia and Dax share one mind and share one body so the characteristics are also a mixture from both the host and the symbiont. Because of this, Jadzia can also access the skills of the seven previous hosts of Dax. This gave her an academic degree in exobiology, zoology, astrophysics, and exoarcheology.
Dax’s previous host was Curzon and was the first to be friends with Benjamin Sisko. The friendship continued when Dax joined Jadzia. Dr. Julian Bashir romantically pursued Dax but she rebuffed him. It was only when Jadzia died that Dax began dating Bashir after she joined Ezri’s body. The season started with Dax joining Jadzia’s body. Jadzia’s character was killed by Gul Dukat in the sixth season finale. Dax returns in season seven with her new host Ezri.
