Commander Shran of the Andorians
The Andorians had a silent motive against the Vulcans because they accuse the latter of hiding a sensor array in the monastery for surveillance. It was Thy’lek Shran who led the Andorian army to raid the Vulcan monastery and it was also him that led to the alliance of the Andorians and the people of Earth.
The Andorians were known to have and aggressive and xenophobic background but despite that, Thy’lek Shran became friends with Captain Jonathan Archer of the Starfleet. They’re friendship came as a surprise because at first, Shran believed the humans to be allied with the Vulcans and even held Archer and several of his crew as captives. It was when Archer escaped and SHran pursued him that they both discovered the sensor array kept by the Vulcans. Seeing that the Andorians were right, Archer offered help to Shran by providing him with a detailed reading and images of the facility and allowed him to go peacefully. The Andorian felt then that he was in debt to Captain Archer.
Shran was the Andorian commander of the Andorian Imperial Guard. He was married to Jhamel and had a daughter named Talla. His other family was his oldest brother. After he retired and got into the wrong mix of friends, he faked his own death. When he returned his daughter was abducted and Archer was the one to help him again. He became a general in 2164 when he returned to the Imperial guards and he made Archer an honorary member as well.
