The Wrath of Khan
Captain Kirk and the rest of the Enterprise crew were set on a mission to stop an old nemesis, Khan. This was perhaps the Enterprise greatest challenge as they embarked on a mission to survive the wrath of Khan. Khan and his troops were exiled by Kirk from 20th century earth to Ceti Alpha V. Khan was in remorse and blamed captain Kirk for the death of his wife
The Enterprise went on a three-week training voyage and was unfortunately attacked by the Reliant. It resulted to the lost and injury of most of its trainees. This event revealed to Captain Kirk that Khan knows of the Genesis Device. When taken in the wrong hands, the Genesis Device could be a tool of massive destruction with the ability of destroying any planet it comes in contact with.
Khan planned to transport the Genesis Device on Reliant and ordered the killing of Captain Kirk. Khan used Chekov and Terrel as spies, but Terrel was able to resist Khan’s influence and killed himself while Chekov collapsed. With the Enterprise partially destroyed, captain Kirk had to do something to match the prowess of the Reliant. Captain Kirk then led the ship to the nearby nebula, rendering the shields of the two ships defenseless, making reliant and enterprise of the same match. Khan activated the Genesis Device in an attempt to reorganize the enterprise. The enterprise now had to leave the nebula immediately, but with its wrap drive damaged, it may be difficult. Dr Spock went on a brave move to fix the wrap drive, with the danger of exposing himself to high levels of radiation. Enterprise was able to survive the explosion and left Spock dead with radiation poisoning.
