On Board a Super Vessel, the Reliant Miranda Class Starship

The Miranda Class Starship began its existence in the 23rd century. It is considered as one of the few successful Star Trek spacecrafts. This starship serves as a complimentary class to the Constitution class, another starship with which it has similar mechanism and machinery. The original mission profile of Miranda class is to perform scientific mission and patrol duties.

Around 2270’s the Miranda class starship and the Reliant Class starship underwent restructuring and refitting. This resulted to the creation of a super vessel that still carries the Miranda class design, dubbed as the Reliant Miranda class starship. It consists of a single primary hole, a saucer that is similar to that of the Constitution class vessels. Several of the refitted Miranda vessels have a phaser array mounted on the lower part of the dome in the main pat of the ship. This starship has a distinctive role in the Dominion War and served well in the 24th century. This vessel also has a unique contribution to numerous space battles such as the Engagement of the Borgs, Battle of Wolf 359, and Battle of Sector 001. The Reliant Miranda Class is fully equipped with sensor pods and weapons, the starship excels well in combat and research missions. Due to the starship’s variability and versatility, it is deemed as an extensive starship.
