USS Enterprise Vs. the Bird of Prey
One of the many things that Star Trek fans love about the series and movies is the action between battle cruisers and starships. There are just so many futuristic designs of huge and formidable ships to choose from and to marvel at.
The Bird of Prey is a warship of the Romulan and Klingon Empires with a design close to that of a predatory bird, thus the name. It was used between the 22nd to the 24th century. The ship is shaped like a giant saucer with parallel warp nacelles and bears a picture of a bird on its hull. It uses torpedo launchers, nuclear weapons, and plasma torpedoes as main armaments and relies of the invisibility screen to gain advancement during attack.
Another important and famous Star Trek ship is the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A. This is a Federation Constitution class flag ship that is used in the 23rd century. The ship’s bridge is located at Deck 1 which is at the upper most part of the saucer-like part of the ship. It uses an assortment of armaments as well including a torpedo bay in deck 13 that holds several torpedo launchers. Being a huge star ship of the Federation, this ship has many decks, some with isolation doors like the main engineering room. It can hold several departments like a crew lounge, a science laboratory, and a medical area. Several other ships were constructed to bear the same name and to serve as the flagship of the Federation.
