“Resistance is futile”
Borg drones are comprised of organic and artificial life. They are individuals infused with the Borg technology and have the mission of assimilating others. Borg drones are neither male nor female, they do not have any individuality and they are of service to the Collective. Borg drones possess superior strength as their original bodies were enhanced with the Borg technology, several body parts are even replaced up to some extent with cyborg implants. Every Borg drone has an implanted homing device to keep in contact with the Collective.
Borg drones do not survive well in isolation. They were meant to live with the collective and they are indeed a part of the collective. Borg drones have the need to regenerate their cyber bodies in fitted alcoves. Borgs used to be part of the entire humanity, which has flaws. But its development into a synthetic individual resulted to an efficient killing machine.
“Resistance is futile” is always a term that has been used by the Borg drones in several episodes of Star Trek. These cyborgs rarely speak and often send messages to their targets through collective audio. Borg drones often tell their targets that its biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to the Borg’s system. “Resistance is futile” is very fitting to a Borg’s ability to assimilate its targets successfully. Upon assimilation, a Borg drone quickly loses its own hair and turns to a pale gray or green complexion.
