The Unleashed Borg Sphere
In the Star Trek series and all its franchises, fans are pretty amazed of the realistic types of machines and ships used by the different species. They have different tactical and weaponry systems as well as structure. Even the ships used by the people of Earth look so advance and out-of-this world. The Borg Collective has their Borg Cube which seems an indestructible ship. It contains the long-range tactical vessel Borg Sphere. This is a sphere-shaped starship seen by the Federation during the 24th century.
Although the Sphere comes out of a war ship, it carries out a very quiet job as a scout ship. It is usually carried by the Borg Cube as an auxiliary vessel that scouts a destination for the Cube and the drones inside it. There are about 11,000 Borg drones in a sphere which is approximately 600 meters in diameter. If that seems big enough, the inside has a spacious bay that could hold an Intrepid-class starship perfectly.
The Borg Sphere has the ability to transwarp with the coils found in a transwarp chamber with heavy shielding. It is equipped with an ablative hull armor and a tractor beam. It has no living quarters or an engineering section. It has a primary shield generator in the shield matrix whixh is its only hope for surviving a quantum torpedo attack.
A Borg sphere appeared in several Star Trek episodes and franchises including The First Contact, Dark Frontier, Regeneration, and Endgame.
