First Officer Chakotay
The USS Voyager also holds many of the gallant Federation crew including First Officer Chakotay. He served the Voyager in the 24th century under Captain Kathryn Janeway after he and the other Maquis had been pulled into the Delta Quadrant. Their situation forced them to merge with the USS Voyager crew in their journey to get home. They were able to return to the Alpha Quadrant by using a Borg Transwarp hub.
The transition was easier for Chakotay when they joined the USS Voyager because he was already a previous Starfleet crew before he joined the Marquis. He was only fifteen years old when he entered the Starfleet Academy with the help of Captain Sulu. Inside the Academy he was best known for his skills as a great pilot that he was sent in North America for further training. He also trained is Venus for several months in order to know how to fly a ship in the middle of an atmospheric storm and how to avoid collision with asteroids and other flying objects in the universe.
Chakotay is also a considerably strong person when it comes to physical measurements, holding 23 wins and only one loss in the light heavyweight division. He trained under the Academy groundsman Boothby to develop his strong right hook punch and to become a proficient boxer.
If you’ve seen Robert Beltran play the role of First Officer Chakotay and Douglas Spain play the teenage Chakotay while training in the Starfleet Academy, relive the memories by downloading free Star Trek Chakotay desktop wallpaper.
