The Power of Enterprise E
If you are one Star Trek fan, then I am sure that you also love everything about the Starfleet including their warships. The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E or simple Enterprise E is one of them. It is the most advanced starship owned and commissioned by the Starfleet. It began its service in the late 24th century as the sixth Enterprise starship.
The starship was launched on stardate 49827.5 year 2372. It was the most advanced starship owned by the Starfleet at the time following the Enterprise D. It was constructed in San Francisco Fleet Yard orbiting the Earth. The starship went under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard and most of the crew of the decommissioned Enterprise D were also transferred there.
Originally the ship was 685 meters long with 24 decks, 12 phaser arrays and five torpedo tubes. In 2379 four additional phaser arrays and five more torpedo tubes were added to the defense and weaponry of the ship. It also had a refit to accommodate five more decks arriving at a total of 29. It has a deflector control, a stellar cartography, and hydrophonics on the 11th deck and a sickbay ward. The main engineering section is in deck 16.
Although it is featured with a manual steering column, it as newer shuttlecrafts, warp capable captain’s yacht called Cousteau, and a multipurpose shuttlecraft called Argo. This stunner was designed by John Eaves and Herman Zimmerman for the series.
