The Enterprise NX-01 Marking Territories
Star Trek Enterprise NX-01 is a starship owned by the Starfleet and commanded by Captain Jonathan Archer. This ship was commissioned in 2151 and was the first of the NX class. Archer brought the ship in an exploratory mission including the uncharted regions in space. Enterprise NX-01 was able to make the first contact with species including the Suliban, Tholians, Klingons, and Xindi with its 86 crew members.
The starship also played a role in defending Earth from the Xindi between 2153 and 2154. It had been heavily damaged and had multiple casualties but it was able to survive by having a detour in an alternate version of 1944. The ship uses a dual nacelle and pulse cannons. It also has spatial torpedoes of the Triton class and is protected by polarized hull painting.
When the ship had underwent upgrades, the pulse cannons were replaced by three phase cannons with a maximum power output of 500 gigajoules. The spatial torpedoes were also replaced by photonic torpedoes. Although it does not have a defensive shield like other starships, it has a duranium hull that forms a reactive armor. This was later on also upgraded by the Starfleet.
In addition to weaponry, the ship has a deflector on the front saucer section that protects it from space dust and other space particles that could damage the ship especially when cruising fast. It houses two shuttle pods used for shorter and smaller missions.
